SIARAN MEDIA: CASIO JALIN KERJASAMA BERSAMA FAM

Persatuan Bolasepak Malaysia (FAM) hari ini mengumumkan telah menjalinkan kerjasama bersama syarikat multinasional Jepun, Casio bermula 1 Mac 2021 sehingga 28 Februari 2022.

Perjanjian penajaan itu telah ditandatangani di antara Pengedar Rasmi Casio Malaysia, Pengarah Eksekutif Marco Corporation, Encik Ong Sim Jeng dan Timbalan Presiden FAM, Datuk Wira Mohd Yusoff Mahadi.

Selain itu, sebagai tanda sokongan kepada skuad Harimau Malaya yang bakal kembali beraksi selepas setahun berehat akibat pandemik COVID19 pada baki tiga perlawanan Kumpulan G, Kelayakan Piala Dunia 2022/Piala Asia 2023, Jun ini, Casio juga telah melancarkan jam tangan edisi terhad G-SHOCK Harimau Malaya hari ini, di Wisma FAM, Kelana Jaya.

Majlis menandatangani perjanjian serta pelancaran jam tangan edisi terhad itu juga dihadiri oleh Presiden FAM, Datuk Haji Hamidin Haji Mohd Amin; Pengarah Urusan Casio Malaysia, Encik Tezuka Itsuro dan turut menampilkan dua pemain daripada skuad kebangsaan iaitu Shahrel Fikri Md Fauzi dan Irfan Zakaria serta penampilan istimewa Ketua Jurulatih Harimau Malaya, Tan Cheng Hoe.

Timbalan Pengerusi Jawatankuasa Pemasaran dan Tajaan FAM, Datuk Hisamudin Yahaya berkata, tajaan daripada syarikat elektronik gergasi Jepun menerusi pengedar rasminya itu adalah tanda bola sepak negara telah mula mendapat perhatian syarikat-syarikat swasta di dalam Malaysia.

“Keadaan pandemik COVID-19 yang melanda seluruh dunia sejak Mac 2020 tidak menghalang syarikat-syarikat swasta ini untuk tampil menzahirkan sokongan mereka terhadap skuad bola sepak kebangsaan.

“Menerusi kerjasama ini, saya pasti ia akan menjadi motivasi untuk pemain-pemain skuad Harimau Malaya memulakan kembali kempen Kelayakan Piala Dunia 2022/Piala Asia 2023 yang tertangguh akibat pandemik,” kata Datuk Hisamudin.

Jelasnya lagi, sokongan daripada syarikat-syarikat korporat ini adalah sebahagian daripada usaha Datuk Haji Hamidin selaku Presiden FAM yang sentiasa berusaha meningkatkan kualiti serta nilai komersial badan induk bola sepak negara itu.

Sebagai simbolik pelancaran jam tangan Casio G-SHOCK edisi terhad ini, Datuk Haji Hamidin telah menjadi individu pertama yang menerima jam tangan G-SHOCK edisi Harimau Malaya dengan nombor siri 001 daripada Encik Tezuka Itsuro.

Jam tangan edisi Harimau Malaya ini menggunakan model asas G-SHOCK GA-2000-1A9, yang didatangi dengan warna tradisi Harimau Malaya iaitu hitam dan kuning serta memiliki ukiran logo Harimau Malaya sekali gus menyerlahkan lagi gaya eksklusif dan unggul.

Majlis berkenaan turut dihadiri oleh Timbalan Presiden FAM, Dato’ Sivasundaram Sithamparam Pillai bersama barisan Ahli Jawantankuasa Eksekutif FAM.

Sementara itu, Encik Tezuka turut berkongsi rasa berbesar hati dengan kesudian pihak FAM untuk menjalinkan kerjasama bersama syarikat multinasional Jepun itu.

“Reka bentuk G-SHOCK memang sudah terkenal dengan rekaan yang mengikuti trend semasa sekali gus menepati citarasa remaja pada hari ini dan saya pasti jam tangan edisi terhad ini akan mendapat tempat di dalam kalangan penyokong bola sepak Malaysia.

“Kerjasama pertama antara Casio, Marco dan FAM ini ternyata mencerminkan tahap kualiti yang dikejar oleh pihak FAM dan harapan saya agar skuad kebangsaan Malaysia sentiasa mengorak langkah ke arah kecemerlangan lebih-lebih lagi pada kempen Kelayakan Piala Dunia nanti,” ujar Tezuka.

Tambahnya, Casio sentiasa menyokong pembangunan pelbagai sukan menerusi jenama G-SHOCK.  Sebagai penjaga masa rasmi untuk Piala AFF Suzuki 2020, beberapa kempen pemasaran akan dijalankan oleh pihak Casio sebagai usaha untuk mempromosikan bola sepak di rantau ASEAN.

Dengan hanya 999 jam tangan G-SHOCK Harimau Malaya yang akan dikeluarkan di pasaran, setiap jam tangan berkenaan akan diukir dengan dengan nombor siri bermula 002 sehingga 999.

Jam tangan edisi terhad Casio G-SHOCK Harimau Malaya ini boleh didapati bermula 1 Jun pada harga RM579.00 dan akan didatangi bersama sehelai t-shirt edisi terhad, gelang tangan dan beg kertas di G-Factory, outlet G-SHOCK dan outlet pengedar rasmi Casio di seluruh negara serta kedai atas talian rasmi Casio.

The Football Association of Malaysia (FAM) today officially announce the collaboration and partnership with the Japanese multinational company, Casio, beginning 1st March 2021 until 28th February 2022.

The sponsorship agreement was signed between the Casio Malaysia Authorized Distributor, Marco Corporation’s Executive Director, Mr. Ong Sim Jeng and Deputy President Datuk Wira Mohd Yusoff Mahadi at Wisma FAM, this morning. 

In addition to this event, Casio has also launched the limited-edition Harimau Malaya and G-SHOCK collaboration watch with GA-2000-1A9 as the base model, to express their highest support towards the national squad that will be returning to their 2022 World Cup Qualifiers/2023 Asian Cup campaign after a year hiatus due to the COVID-19 pandemic last year.

The signing ceremony and the unveiling of the limited-edition collaboration watch was also witnessed by FAM President, Datuk Haji Hamidin Haji Mohd Amin; Casio Malaysia Managing Director, Mr. Tezuka Itsuro and it also featured two players from the national squad, Shahrel Fikri Md Fauzi and Irfan Zakaria as well as a special appearance from the Harimau Malaya Head Coach, Tan Cheng Hoe. 

According to the FAM’s Deputy Chairman of Marketing and Sponsorship Committee, Datuk Hisamudin Yahaya, the collaboration with the Japanese company through its local distributor, Marco Corporation, is also a sign that Malaysia's football scene has beginning to gain the attention from local private companies in the country.

"The pandemic that has shaken the world since March 2020 has not stopped these companies from coming forward to express their support for the national football squad.

"Through this collaboration, I am confident that it will boost the squad's motivation to restart their 2022 Word Cup Qualifiers/2023 Asian Cup campaign which was delayed due to the pandemic," said Datuk Hisamudin.

He added, the support that FAM had been receiving from these corporate companies is part of Datuk Haji Hamidin’s hard work that constantly strive for quality and commercial value of the governing body of Malaysia’s football association.

As a symbol of Casio's support towards FAM, Datuk Haji Hamidin was presented with the first Harimau Malaya and G-SHOCK collaboration watch which also carries the 001-serial number from Mr. Tezuka Itsuro.

The limited edition Harimau Malaya and G-SHOCK collaboration watch uses the base model of G-SHOCK GA-2000-1A9, which comes with black and yellow colour, inspired by the Harimau Malaya traditional colours and is engraved with Harimau Malaya logo, thus highlighting its exclusiveness and superior style.

The ceremony was also attended by the Deputy President of FAM, Dato’ Sivasundaram Sithamparam Pillai together with the Executive Committee members of FAM.

Meanwhile, Mr. Tezuka expressed his gratitude with FAM's willingness to collaborate with the Japanese multinational company.

"G-SHOCK is the watch that stunned the world with a concept for toughness that defied conventional watchmaking logic. We are excited to team up with FAM to offer the limited edition watch which will make its mark in the hearts of Malaysian football fans.

He added that Casio has supported the development of various sports with its G-SHOCK brand actively. Being the official timekeeper for the AFF Suzuki Cup 2020, several marketing campaigns and events will be carried out to help promote football in the ASEAN region.

With only 999 pieces of the limited edition Harimau Malaya & G-SHOCK collaboration watch available in the market; each piece is engraved with a serial number starting 002 to 999.

The limited Harimau Malaya and G-SHOCK collaboration watch which is prized at RM 579 will come with a Harimau Malaya and G-SHOCK t-shirt, wrist band and paper bag and will be made available this coming 1st of June onwards, at all G-Factory, G-SHOCK Stores and authorized Casio retailers across Malaysia as well as at Casio’s official online stores.
