AFC U19 Championship: Malaysia 5-0 Macau

Zheijiang: Malaysia managed to get their only win in their AFC U-19 Championship 2014 qualifying campaign as they thrashed Macau 5-0 in their final match at Jiaxing Sports Center Stadium in China on Saturday.

With both teams already out of the equation for the tournament proper, Malaysia made sure they won big as they led Macau 4-0 at the break before going on to add one more goal before the final whistle.

Muhammad Irfan Zakaria, Mohamad Raphi Azizan Mariappen, Muhammad Alif Haikal Mohd Sabri and Ag Ku Mohd Hamirullizam were all on target for Malaysia in the first half.

Substitute Muhammad Amirul Ashraf Din scored their fifth and last goal for Aminuddin Bin Hussin’s side, who had lost all their previous ties against Japan and hosts China.

Malaysia finished their campaign in third spot in the four-team table while Tam Iao San-led Macau concluded their qualifying journey at the bottom. -AFC-
