FAM To Conduct Post-mortem

NAYPYITAW -  The Football Association of Malaysia (FAM) secretary-general Dato’ Hamidin Mohd Amin said a post-mortem would be conducted to find out why the futsal team performed badly at the 27th Myanmar SEA Games.

"We prepared well for the competition and played in many international tournaments but failed to qualify for the semifinals despite undergoing intensive training.

"National futsal team manager Datuk Hamdan Mohamed Khalib promised to call for a meeting soon to receive a report from the coach and team manager," said Dato’ Hamidin.

He was speaking to reporters when commenting on the poor performance of the futsal team coached by Maizal Hairi Marzuki.

Malaysia failed to make it to the semifinals after finishing at the bottom of Group A which had only three teams.

The team drew 4-4 with host Myanmar and suffered a shocking 4-5 loss to Indonesia, thus ending any chance of moving on.
