Grassroots Development Programme is an initiative done by the Women’s Department of FAM to promote and encourage girls to have passion towards playing football at school level. The participation of schools would help to build a bigger base of young girls being trained and exposed to football at an early age in order to build a more potential and stronger national team to participate at international tournaments in the future.
Currently, there are 8 primary schools and 9 secondary schools around Klang Valley, Negeri Sembilan and Kuantan has been actively participating in this programme which has begun since April 2010.
