NAYPYITAW - – The Philippines have confirmed their non-participation in men’s football for the SEA Games 2013 which will be held in Myanmar on 11-22 December.
In a letter from the Myanmar Football Federation (MFF), it was confirmed that Group A of the championship which will play all their matches in Naypyitaw will now have five teams instead of six.
Instead of starting on 3 December previously, now matches in Group A will begin only on 8 December.
The opening game this year will be between hosts Myanmar and Cambodia in Group B on 7 December in Yangon.
Group A: Malaysia, Vietnam, Singapore, Laos, Brunei DS
Group B: Indonesia, Myanmar, Timor Leste, Thailand, Cambodia
