The Malaysian Under-21 side or known as Harimau Muda A who arrived in Zlate Moravce, Slovakia after a total of 15-hours of travelling, mustered just about enough energy to face their first friendly match against Ruzemberok FC.
The 3-1 defeat however was only to be expected.
As early as the eighth minute, Ruzemberok opened accounts before adding a second in the 58th minute. Coach Ong Kim Swee replaced Wan Zack Haikal Wan Noor with Wan Zaharulnizam Zakaria who saw his free-kick in the 68th minute reduce the deficit. But three minutes later Ruzemberok registered their third goal.
