DPM gives support to Olympic squad

Deputy Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin said the Malaysian Olympic football team was capable of taking on any team, including Pakistan.

He said the determination, hard work and never-say-die attitude of players will be the main factor to decide the outcome of the first round Olympic qualifying match against Pakistan at the Shah Alam Stadium Wednesday.

Malaysia will meet Pakistan in the second match on 9 March in Lahore, Pakistan. The winner of this home and away tie will advance into the second round.

"I wish to take this opportunity to wish them success as the young Malaysian tigers face Pakistan on Wednesday," he told Bernama in a statement, Tuesday.
