MALAYSIA CUP FINAL
NEGRI SEMBILAN CROWNED 2011 MALAYSIA CUP CHAMPIONS
SHAH ALAM: THE night belonged to former international Hairuddin Omar as Negri Sembilan came from behind to beat favourites Terengganu 2-1 to land the prestigious Malaysia Cup for the second time in three years – and bring the Malaysian football season to a close with a bang at the Shah Alam Stadium in front of some 80,000 fans.
Negri, playing in their third successive Malaysia Cup final thus salvaged some pride in a topsy-turvey season for the Deer, who changed coaches in mid-season with former Kedah coach Mohd Azraai Khor Abdullah replacing Wan Jamak Hassan.
